After attending workshops and observing some major Australian painters, he has evolved his own style and technique. He now holds workshops to show uptight artists how to loosen up their rigid painting style. These workshops are titled, “ ENERGISE your painting”, and the two day workshops have loosened up and empowered quite a few local and interstate artists. His 3 day workshops are held at remote outback rivers.
His current tips are to paint four or five very quick paintings, acrylic on paper. Then take the best bits and start your painting using only your sketches as reference.
There is much more to it, but most participants are astonished at what they have achieved in breaking down all their previous rigid inhibitions and developing their own painting vocabulary.
