The Seaview Artists Gallery is run by 15 local artists. Members take responsibility for keeping the gallery running by paying monthly rent, attending the gallery to serve our visitors 1 day in 15 and generally contributing by performing tasks as and when they arise. Monthly meetings are held on the last Thursday of each month which every member is expected to attend.
We have a small number of works on consignment from 3D artists. This work can be displayed on shelves and plinths around the gallery. We are unable to invite non-members to hang art on our walls as we do not have enough wall space.
The gallery opens every day of the year except Christmas Day.
Opening times are 9:30am to 4:30pm.
If you are a local artist (Sunshine Coast or Hinterland) and wish to go on our waiting list for membership, please feel free to contact us for further details. You will be contacted when an existing members leaves the gallery. About one week prior to the next monthly meeting, prospective members will be asked to drop off at the gallery physical examples of their work. The work will be reviewed at the next weeking (prospective artists do not attend these reviews).
