Farewell Barry Kidd!
Seaview artists gathered late December to honour Barry Kidd’s final day exhibiting at Moffat Beach. Barry said: “My body just cannot continue like this. The bursitis in the painting shoulder is unbearable.” After 41/2 years membership he is giving his brushes a well deserved rest, in an attempt to alleviate the pain. For those who know the gallery space Barry’s works were those bright and quirky depictions of life in the ‘burbs of inner city Brisbane.
Barry’s works were sadly bundled into his trusty campervan, to hang in his studio space at Redcliffe, until claimed for another happy home.
Welcome Chris Postle!
Chris Postle has become the newest member of Seaview Gallery. Well known by many on the Coast, Chris brings to the gallery his unique depictions of landscapes, people and places. His works tend to be larger feature paintings, ideal to take centre of attention in a varity of decors. Check our website for when Chris is on duty and drop in to say hello and admire his artwork.
Raelean Hall has been hitting runs again with recently being chosen as one of 12 artists to paint for the 100th Test Cricket at the SCG. The painting was auctioned to raise funds in aid of the McGrath Foundation.

“My first stop is in Hawaii where I have been asked to demonstrate how to set shark’s teeth during the Kapiolani Park market day by Pacific Handcrafters on Waikiki beach. It’s hell but some one has to do it.”
